2008: A sector is dedicated to Fine Foods. This new sector at SIAL is located in a new hall. • The new hall 7 - a luminous, fully glazed structure - will be the pretigious location for SIAL's new Fine Foods sector. Located by the exit of the RER (high-speed metro), opposite the main esplanade of the Exhibition Center, this new hall provides a distinctive, cutting-edge setting: the perfect showcase for Fine Food. • SIAL will be staging a major publicity campaign targeting professionals specifically to raise awareness of this new hall and the Fine Foods sector at the exhibition. • In order to meet your customer's needs the Fine Foods sector will be located alongside sectors likely to interest the same buyers: wine, a sector that will be expanding even more in 2008, and organic products and health food - two growth sectors. • Three pavilions that have always been popular at SIAL with an offer that greatly appeals to visitors will also be in the same hall : the Tea Pavilion, the Coffee Pavilion and the Fair Trade Pavilion.

For the first time in 2006, SIAL offered visitors a sector devoted exclusively to wine. This warm, friendly event attracted a large number of satisfied exhibitors and visitors - a promising sign for future events. • One particularly useful concept was a big hit with buyers and delighted producers: the BEST BUY area, where visitors were able to taste wines showcased by exhibitors offering the best value for money (entry and mid-level products). • Another highlight of the wine sector: Customized buyers' meetings were organized in partnership with Ubifrance, attracting buyers from around the world, including Hong Kong, Taiwan, Germany, Italy, Korea, the United States, Belgium and many other countries.
